Xprecia Prime™ is the new and improved generation of portable coagulation monitoring device. Xprecia Prime™ is small, accurate, and easy to use. This new coagulation analyzer is designed for fast and reliable PT/INR testing, allowing medical practitioners to monitor vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulation therapy (e.g. Warfarin, Coumadin etc.) at the point of care (POC), primary care, urgent care, and hospitals. It should not be used to measure PT/INR in patients on other anticoagulation therapies. Xprecia Prime™ meets the modern high-quality POC coagulation testing requirements, providing PT/INR results comparable to laboratory analysis in under a minute.
The Xprecia Prime™ System is for determination of the International Normalized Ratio (INR, related to prothrombin time) for the monitoring of oral anticoagulation therapy with warfarin (a vitamin K
antagonist) in fresh capillary whole blood. It is an in vitro diagnostic device intended for multi-patient use in professional healthcare settings, including point-of-care settings.
