In-field qPCR testing with GeneCount® Q-16
Test up to 16 samples with a range of assays including but not limited to: SARS Covid, Legionella and Legionella Pneumophilia in a single run. In less than 90 minutes you identify whether target microorganisms are present and quantify your total.
A simplified yet robust extraction process enables a low limit of detection, allowing you to better remove interferences from a range of sample types. You also have the option to run positive and negative controls with every test, ensuring you know each test has run properly.

Applications for Wastewater Surveillance Monitoring :
Wastewater-based epidemiology (WBE) can be a powerful approach for detecting COVID-19 outbreaks early and is an essential surveillance tool to complement any community monitoring strategy. The easy-to-use, portable GeneCount Q-16 allows you to test for SARS-CoV-2 among other assays for RT-PCR testing.
Detect the presence and concentration of specific microorganisms on surfaces in less than 2.5 hours. The GeneCount Q-16 qPCR system lets you quickly make treatment decisions to mitigate disease-causing pathogens or problematic microbes.
The GeneCount Q-16 qPCR features four fluorescent channels allowing you to test up to 16 samples with multiple assays in a single run. Portable and field-ready, the device needs no calibration. An intuitive touchscreen display makes operation easy. The system uses organism-specific reagent/assay panels (sold separately).
To use, simply follow the assay directions, put your prepared samples in the device and start the run. The GeneCount Q-16 device integrates PCR amplification, detection and basic analysis. Upon completion, the display shows a measurement of the targeted organism in genomic units/mL.
For data management, the GeneCount system interfaces directly with the myLuminUltra web platform where you can organize, review and further analyze your data.
