The Hemoccult II SENSA test is a rapid and convenient test for detecting fecal occult blood, which may be indicative of gastrointestinal disease. Enhancing the advancement of the Hemoccult product, Hemoccult II SENSA provides improved readability and higher clinical sensitivity over the original Hemoccult. Hemoccult II SENSA has been proven to provide the highest clinical sensitivity readings (92%)1 and offers the ability to find more true positives of occult blood.
Since cancer and polyps may bleed intermittently, Hemoccult II SENSA triple slide products are designed so patients can collect serial specimens over period of 3 days. This significantly increases the probability of detecting hidden blood from cancer and polyps. Proven to deliver the highest clinical sensitivity readings, this test accurately predicts more true positives of occult blood.
