The Afinion™ 2 Analyzer is a compact, rapid, multi-assay analyzer that provides valuable point-of-care patient testing. With its compact size the Afinion 2 system is ideal for point-of-care testing in physician offices, clinics, community health centers and hospital out-patient clinics. From just a fingerstick whole blood sample, lab-accurate results for HbA1c are made available during the consultation. When patients can have their tests performed and results given during one visit, they can begin any necessary treatment faster. With the Afinion™ System, there’s no need to send test results to the lab or spend time tracking them down. That way you can keep your focus where it belongs – on the patient.
The Afinion 2 Analyzer can reliably transfer test results to an information system. The connectivity feature will automatically transfer patient and control results via an Ethernet cable to a connected LIS/HIS system via TCP/IP networking using the protocols POCT1-A, HL7, ASTM 1381-85 (low level) or ASTM 1394-97 (high level), selectable by configuration. With built-in connectivity the Afinion 2 Analyzer can communicate with LIS and HIS systems to share and manage data more effectively, contributing to better patient management everywhere.
